Articles is by far the best way to read Wikipedia articles on the iPhone and iPad, but I often find that I’ll be using Google/Safari to find information on a subject and then make my way to a wikipedia article. At this point I either just keep reading in the browser or I have to open up Articles and then search for the same article. Articles 2.0 was released on Feb 2 and brought some custom URL schemes to the app. I have put together a small bookmarklet that will simply send the current wikipedia article in Safari to Articles. You can either drag the link below to your bookmark bar and then sync your bookmarks to your iPhone or make a new bookmark on your iPhone and paste the code below into the address. As of now I don’t think the custom URL schemes are supported on the iPad version (I don’t have an iPad right now to test this) but I assume this feature will be coming soon.

Be sure to check out the rest of Sophiestication Software’s great lineup. Hopefully we’ll be seeing a desktop version of Articles on the Mac App Store at some point.
